Now with this forum here, i yould like to share this Excel-Sheet with you.
Back in the older day, i was not only shooting target-archery but also 3D and field.

There, you also have to guess the distances and set your sight accordingly.
A 1m-resolution on the sight is not really a HAVE TO but a SHOULD HAVE.
Back in the days when i started, we shot ervery 5 or 10m and guessed the in-betweens linearly... As an egnineer, this bugged me a LOT. Guessing! Pha! Who are we! And a ballistic curve is never linear...
Of yourse, sighting every 1m is a huuuge pain in the behind and not feasible.
A better solution had to be made.
Welcome to the birth-hour of this excel.
With many hours of tinkering and method-evaluation i managed to build a sheet in which you can shoot only a few (8 or 9) distances and you get freom 2m to 100m every meter on your sight.
In theory, if you know your turning-point, you could go with 2 datapoints less, but this proved to be utopic for many archers: They didnt know it and had to find it, which used more than those 2 additional points in the first place.
The endresult was a excel-sheet which helped me get top-10 in Worldchampionships IFAA and 3rd place in the IFAA European Champs.
Well then!
