Hmmm.....
Please enlighten me!
AU is not the most tinker friendly contry in terms of having proper shops or stores for electronics.
What sort of budgets or costs are we talking for you "not so premium" projects and mods?

My biggest problem only too often is to just find what I need locally and an acceptable price.
For example:
Our electorics and hobby store in town had a special for a rapberry PI based retor gaming station with screen - as a DIY project.
I could find the same thing, usind idenitical parts as already assebled and tested units online from China for less than half the price.
Just wondering if I am already too affected by these shortages and costs affecting my tinker projects - not to mention shipping costs and time....

There are almost no more electronics-DIY-stores anymore in switzerland. So, online is the way to go. Mouser, Digikey, Distrelec and so on... Or Aliexpress.
