Well, I haven't posted any feedback for a while just got a bit jack of it and am busy doing other stuff, Looks like this thread is still getting plenty of views. Ive had to deal with VicRoads, (bit like the DMV for those in the US) maybe they would enjoy some feedback.

A few years ago I 3D printed a disc with some places to glue some high-powered magnets near the edge then spun it up with an electric motor.
It would repeal non-ferrous metal which was really cool. I could make the disc and motor hover over a sheet of copper. its a fun thing to try.

It gets really hot really fast and very easy to light even with damp leaf litter I picked up off the ground, I'm going to paint the shiny drum, as it doesn't radiate heat very well, some black stove paint should fix that.
