Re: What happened to non-planar slicing and printing?

Having said the above : Don't bother if you have a dual nozzle printer that is fixed and you expect quick and easy results. I wanted to check what sort of angle is possible but in the direction of the unused nozzle is just isn't enough to be of any use. I am sure there is a way to define the angle d...

Re: What happened to non-planar slicing and printing?

Ok, here is the link for this slicer I somehow missed on Github: https://github.com/CNCKitchen/ConicalSlicer There is also other forks, so feel free to check the different branches and such. One thing to keep in mind is that this project was aimed at the RoBot 3D printer which allows for a 45° print...

Re: funny ebay feedback

Now you ruined my day I have a disturbing image stuck in my head..... I so see a versatile agricultural and horticultural hand tool, or in your case TWO of them in your kitchen. Cooking meth in their birthday suits while you pick on their cookies.... And don't me wrong here! Up to that point I thoug...

Re: What happened to non-planar slicing and printing?

So much for me staying on top of things :( And I really thought I searched everywhere for something current. I guess I am getting old. Not really the old school non-planar way but definately a feasable option for more printers we already have. Only downside, if you can call it that: It won't really ...

What happened to non-planar slicing and printing?

For those not familiar with the term non-planar-slicing: Unlike your normal slicer the model will be cut with three dimensional tool paths where applicable. Means, for example, something like a plane wing would be printed with the platform going up and down during a layer. Allows to print the imposs...

Re: Replacing a faulty (wired) aircon controller - Pyrex, Vulcan, Bonaire

If you can't find a matching remote you might have a hard time getting things to work and might even damage the controller for the main unit on the roof. The remote often has more features than what fits the above wiring code and colors. Like "boost mode" and "flush"for evaporative coolers or a "sil...

Re: Replacing a faulty (wired) aircon controller - Pyrex, Vulcan, Bonaire

Be it Pyrex, Vulcan, Bonaire - or probably lost of other brands as well: If it runs on 24V you can exchange the controllers as they systems are identical. If it is NOT a"Confort Control" system you still might have a good chance to just use any 24V aircon controller for your unit. Assuming the insta...

Replacing a faulty (wired) aircon controller - Pyrex, Vulcan, Bonaire

I was tasked with the repair of the controller for a Pyrox Comfort Control aircon system. Whenever there is a slight power fault, like during bad weather, the controller would freeze up and become unresponsive. For the wireless controller you can do a simple reset by holding the power and up bottom ...

Re: funny ebay feedback

I really think that it is sooo fully automated now that some human at Ebay getting to see any feedback or reviews comes to down the being reported by someone for a review. As long as you don't any offensive or otherwise flagged wording I guess you can really write what you want. Let's face it: If yo...
