Looks like there might be a Victoria bottleneck with Aust Post.
I ordered two items off EBAY last Sunday, one from Sydney, and the other from Dandenong.
I have already received the one from Sydney, the other is still stuck in Dandenong according to Aust Post tracking.

I had never heard of the Antikythera mechanism so googled it and watched a very interesting video. It is simply amazing the technology they had centuries ago and was lost over time. Yes, in hindsight I could have used what they call a bulkhead fitting and saved myself a bit of bother on that step.

BTW, forgot to add, that must have been heart breaking to come home and have a tank full of cooked fish and mushy plants :x ... would have been a real mess to clean up. :x :x

Temp setting appears stable at the moment so thanks for your suggestions. Don't know about your experience, but with these fully submersible heaters, i always seem to have a condensation build up over time within the heater tube. At least with this setup i can't see that happening with the temperatu...
