Re: Using fusible alloys in the workshop !
Very well written and you've included some examples of how to create modern "wax" chucks! Thanks for for ideas and a list of benefits to explore these interesting metals. A few other uses for these fusible plugs or joints through history: Some parts washers use them to drop the lid on the fire to sn...

Re: Source for 2.5mm TS/audio/phono plugs?
When I go to actually build it, I'll probably post it in the projects section to show how I do it. I have ideas to make it look clean and hopefully better than the original cables.

Re: Source for 2.5mm TS/audio/phono plugs?
In terms of finding these 2.5mm connectors: I don't know how vital the authentic look of your devices is. But these 2.5mm jacks AND their old sockets can be a tre pain in the behind when it comes to getting a clean signal. But let's assume first you want to keep all orinal and umodified... If you e...

Thanks for the compliments! I showed this to my boss and his only response was about the length of all this. I really appreciate the replies as well.

Re: Toyota 22RE Roller Rocker Develoupment.
The modeling was actually done in Inventor. As a little side note about that rendering, it's from Inventor lite so it's not an assembly. It's actually possible to select a face and determine the color/texture of that specific face. Those tool paths you see are also an Autodesk product included in th...

Toyota 22RE Roller Rocker Develoupment.
I'm going to keep this away from "Self promotion" as best I can, that is why I'm not going to include the name of the company I work for nor the name of the other company we are working with. I'm just very proud of the progress I've done and how much work I've put into this project. I'll include som...

Re: "Hi! I'm NEW here!"--Please post your new greets
Hello all, I already posted a question and got an answer here before I found this thread. I just recently found out about instructables was shutting down the Q&A section. That's when I learned about this forum and I decided to check it out, I really appreciate having a new outlet for any questions a...

Re: Source for 2.5mm TS/audio/phono plugs?
I really appreciate the time you both took to respond to my question. And the very thorough response from Jack. Unfortunately, I could only find the plastic version of the 2.5mm on allelectronics.com. Fortunately, however, I did find a metal one of futurlec.com! I'll absolutely be keeping them in mi...

Source for 2.5mm TS/audio/phono plugs?
Hello, I'm new to this forum so I do hope this is an appropriate question for this particular location. I'm looking to make a custom cassette interface cable for my TI99/4A computer. I'm in need of a 2.5mm TS (2 pole) plug, two 3.5mm TS (2 pole) plugs, and a 3.5mm TRRS (4 pole) plug. I'd like for th...
